TECH PROGRAMS GIVE YOUNG WOMEN A CAREER HEADSTART

IDRF launched year four of its tech programs for young women in the GTA.

Starting this month, a new group of women aged 18-29 will learn to code with their Introduction to Web Development course. Past graduates, now working as Full Stack Developers, will teach participants to build websites and apps using CSS, HTML and Javascript.

Those that complete the course will be eligible to apply for either a Web Development Bootcamp or Sales-force ADM 201 Certification.

Both programs teach skills to prepare graduates to work in the digital space.

To eliminate barriers to employment and the prohibitive costs of tech education, Introduction Web Development and the Web Development Bootcamp are free thanks to the generous support of The United Way of Greater Toronto. The Salesforce Certification course is also without cost, thanks to IDRF's partnership with The Rainbow Cloud Initiative.

Are you a sharp, ambitious, technologically curious young woman interested in making your mark on the world?
