August 27, 1:30 - 4:30 pm: Punjabi Writers Book Club. Springdale Branch Library. Calling all Punjabi authors! Enjoy this opportunity to come together, network and discuss your books. This program is presented in collaboration with Punjabi Kalman Da Kafla.

August 22, 5:30 – 8:30 pm. Introduction to sewing: reusable pads. Chinguacousy Branch Library. In this workshop presented by Help A Girl Out, you’ll learn how to use a sewing machine to make reusable period pads, and how reusable menstrual products not only help to end period poverty, but also help the environment. All materials will be provided. Space is limited. For ages 13 and up.

Thursdays (August 4, 11, 18, 25): Then and Now art challenge. Virtual. Participants of the Adult Summer Reading Club are invited to the Then and Now art challenge! Each week, you’ll be challenged to take an updated photo, draw a sketch, paint a picture, or artistically capture in your own way a historical Brampton location based on the picture we send you. Each photo submitted to src@bramlib.on.ca will earn you an extra ballot in the weekly prize draw, and the best art submission of the week will earn an extra ballot in a grand prize draw!
