EXPLORE BRAMPTON ON THE NEWCOMER TOUR BUS!
Residents who moved to Brampton after January 1, 2019, are eligible to take a free Newcomer Bus Tour, in partnership with Brampton Library and Brampton Transit.
Tours will take place on August 16 and August 18 from 10 am to 1 pm. Highlights of the tour include Brampton City Hall, parks, hospitals, community centres, bus and train stations, and library branches. It’s a great way to learn more about Brampton while meeting other newcmers.
Back after a two-year pause due to the pandemic, this award-winning tour has been recognized with the Angus Mowat Award for Excellence in Public Library Service, the Public Library Association Upstart Innovation Award and an award from The Canadian Urban Transit Association (CUTA).
“The City of Brampton is excited to partner again with Brampton Library to provide a Newcomer Bus Tour for residents who have moved to our community since 2019,” said Brampton mayor Patrick Brown. “Brampton is a Mosaic, and our city is home to a diverse, multicultural, young, and fast growing population. These tours provide a wonderful opportunity to introduce new Bramptonians to the municipal offerings available for them that serve to improve their quality of life.”
“We take great pride in providing a welcoming, inclusive environment for our riders,” Alex Milojevic, General Manager, Brampton Transit. “This tour is a great way for newcomers to meet our friendly staff, ask questions, and experience the benefits and convenience of our extensive public transit network.”
“We're so excited for the return of this bus tour, which provides a welcoming introduction to all that Brampton has to offer for our newest residents,” said Todd Kyle, Chief Executive Officer, Brampton Library. “It’s just one more way that Brampton Library is inspiring connections!”
