MEET TALINA

Words of wisdom from the Productivity Master

Talina Sen Smet is the founder of Productivity Master and author of Path to Productivity, a #1 best selling self-help book on Amazon.

Since she was a young child she has always wanted to do well in school, participate in a host of extracurricular activities, go out with friends and family, watch a lot of TV and have time to just relax. She realized it wasn’t so easy to do it all, but she wanted it all. So she did a lot of research and experimenting and created a system that works. She understands and appreciates how valuable time is and wanted to share her knowledge with others to help them use their time wisely and live a full and balanced life.

The 17-year-old created a system that empowers people to live a fuller life by increasing their productivity.

Path to Productivity, she says, shows readers how to train their brain to be motivated at any time, change their mindset to succeed at anything they do, set goals that will allow them to achieve their dreams, motivate themselves and beat procrastination once and for all, de-stress and build relaxation into their schedule and find their passion and take action to succeed while maintaining a balanced and joyful life.

Name: Talina Sen Smet: Talina means dewdrop.

Currently: I published a book last year called, Path to Productivity: A Guide to Reclaim Your Time and Do More of What You Want and I am currently working on an online course to complement the book. I am also in school for architectural engineering at Waterloo University.

Favourite colour: Blue (it’s basic, I know).

Favourite designer: I don’t have a preference.

Favourite movie: Does Ellen Degeneres’s Netflix Special Relatable count?

Favourite singers: Ed Sheeran, Twenty One Pilots, Lauv, Neck Deep, Cimorelli, Jon Bellion, and many more – it’s really hard to choose!

Favourite song: Yellow by Coldplay, but I have many favourites.

Favourite TV shows: Friends, How I Met Your Mother, The Office, 90210.

Favourite ice-cream flavour: Rocky Road.

Favourite cuisine: I eat pretty much all food – there are too many options to choose from, but you can never go wrong with ice cream.

Favourite restaurant: Again, Toronto has too many amazing restaurants so it’s hard to choose.

Favourite sport: I was on my high school curling team, so I suppose curling!

Favourite authors: Brene Brown and Shauna Niequist.

Favourite activity:  Playing the guitar.

I hang out:  With my friends in the car, driving around.

I’m freaked out by: The fact that people are losing their ability to critically think for longer periods of time.

I need: A balance of alone time and time with my friends and peers who motivate me.

I want to be: An architectural engineer who has knowledge and experience in a variety of disciplines to better understand others and the world.

My role models: Marie Forleo because she is a strong female businesswoman who is inspiring youth to pursue their goals.

Tips to save the planet:  Small things will help, but the only way to create actual change is by clearly identifying and bringing light to the main contributors to pollution and global warming.

In a perfect world: Future generations would not have to worry about the major social and environmental issues that we are facing today.
