CONVERSATIONS AND CONNECTIONS

Sawitri Theatre Group presents Conversations and Connections, a platform for artistes of Mississauga to build relationships amongst themselves across various artistic disciplines. The artistes will present their work to the audiences followed by a facilitated conversation where the artiste can share his/her knowledge and journey with emerging and mid-career artistes and explore collaborations.

Conversations and Connections has been conceptualized by Anu Radha Verma, Sharada Eswar and Jasmine Sawant.

The artistes performing or presenting their art form and participating in a post-performance Q and A are Srinidhi Sridharan, Carnatic vocalist; Sharada Eswar, storyteller; Hana Shafi (Frizz Kid), writer; and Tifa Wine, dancer (to be confirmed). They will share their journey with the audience and with other artistes.

Sawitri Theatre Group was founded in January 2003. It is an award-winning, incorporated not-for-profit organization under the artistic leadership of Jasmine Sawant and Shruti Shah, presenting original, challenging and exciting works featuring established professionals as well as emerging artistes.
