WINTER FUN
A STORY WALK IN THE PARK
Check out more fun this winter with Brampton Library. Blaze adventures in the snow with adult and kids’ snowshoes and adult trekking poles and teach little ones to skate with the early learning skater aid. Indoors, test your memory with the giant matching cards memory game, and build your skills with the mini hockey equipment set.
These seasonal activity kits are available to borrow from the Chinguacousy Branch Library for a seven-day period on a first-come, first-served basis from now until April, thanks to the support of the City of Brampton Recreation and Canadian Tire’s Jumpstart Community Development program.
Three of Brampton Library’s much-loved story walks have returned to the city’s beautiful parks. Learn all about bats in English and French as you walk Chinguacousy Park with Elise Gravel’s The Bat, enjoy Sometimes I Feel Like a Fox by Danielle Daniel at Loafer’s Lake Park, and read Heather M. O’Connor’s Fast Friends at Professor’s Lake Park. City of Brampton Community Events, Groundwood Books, Penguin Random House Canada, and Scholastic Canada helped bring these wonderful stories to the community.
