CHEKHOV GETS AN URDU MAKEOVER

Follow the uproarious tale of Mr. Barkhurdar, a well-meaning yet bumbling bachelor, as he musters the courage to confess his love for Madam Mhotarima, the beautiful daughter of his neighbour, Mr. Janaab. Set in a romantic ambience with traditional Indian decoration and lighting, the evening takes an unexpected turn when the trio engages in a side-splitting battle over unromantic subjects like ancestral land and dogs.

Rangaai Theatre Company, known for pioneering sensory immersive theatre, brings Anton Chekhov’s classic play to life with its unique 360-degree approach. Indulge in nostalgia from the ’90s and enjoy desi snacks and drinks as you immerse yourself in this humorous rollercoaster of emotions in which the audience becomes a part of the play alongside the actors in a laughter-filled experience.
