CHARTING A COURSE FOR GROWTH

Jaipaul Massey-Singh, the new Chief Executive Officer of the Brampton Board of Trade,

The Brampton Board of Trade announced the appointment of Jaipaul Massey-Singh as its new Chief Executive Officer.

Massey-Singh, a dedicated and long-time member, volunteer, and former Chair of the Brampton Board of Trade, brings over twenty-five years of diverse experience in entrepreneurial and corporate environments, spanning manufacturing, transportation and the healthcare sector.

He has a proven track record of leadership in operations, finance, and HR, coupled with a passion for innovation. He has successfully built organizations, developed innovative products and services, and led high-performing teams to drive growth. Additionally, Massey-Singh has been an active community leader for more than 15 years, chairing boards and leading committees in areas such as libraries, food banks, and post-secondary education.

Daniel Lewis, Chair of the Board, expressed confidence in Massey-Singh’s ability to take the Board of Trade to new heights.

“Jaipaul’s experience will help propel the Board of Trade to new heights,” he said. “His track record of creating equity and opportunities in our community is strong.”

Louis Vouloukos, the incoming 2024 Chair, looks forward to collaborating with Massey-Singh.

“As 2024 Chair, I look forward to working with Jaipaul. I know the Board of Directors is excited about the skills he brings to the role and are eager to get to work.”

Massey-Singh assumes the CEO role succeeding Todd Letts, who served for a commendable nine years. His intention to step down as CEO in January 2024 prompted the Board of Directors to conduct a rigorous North America-wide search. Massey-Singh emerged as the top candidate from a highly competitive talent pool, attracting more than 400 applicants.

“I am honoured to have been selected as the new CEO of the Board of Trade,” he said. “I am excited to leverage my experience to contribute to the growth and success of our vibrant community.”
