This year marks the 20th anniversary of the tsunami that killed 250,000 people including thousands of people across South Asia on Boxing Day in 2004.

The University of Aceh in Indonesia is organizing events and a conference year-round to honour the victims.

There are a few books on the subject including Tsunami Chaos Global Heart written immediately after the tsunami and made free online.

Using complexity science (which is chaos) to rethink and make a better world, it was authored by three doctors including Dr Vivian Rambihar who went to Sri Lanka to volunteer in 2005.

The book includes information on ways to prevent heart disease. More here.
